1.RAJWADE  PATAWARDHAN  PALACE

 

          FRONT VIEW OF ROYAL PALACE         

The Royal Palace is the main attraction of Jamkhandi town. Its a place for joyfull life without pollution & traffic. It is fully surrounded by greenery. The rulers of this princely state were of the Patawardhan dynasty & they were titled as "Raja" or "Raja Sahib". There  flag was an orangle rectangle containing the royal coat-of-arms.

Some other places worth visiting in the town are;

2. The Rameshwar temple, well known as Ramtheerth. within the palace area. It is also said the Lord Ram, Laxman & Sita visited this place during their Vanavasa.

 

3.Umarameshwar Temple built by Maharaja Patawardhan of Jamkhandi.

Lord Shiva with different alankars such as Bhuti Pooja, Mukut Alankar & Puspa Alankar. 

 

4. Kadapatti Basaveshwara Temple located in a small village called Kadapathi.

 

5. Shri Venkatramana Temple famous for its hilltop location & history located in a small village called Kallolli.

  

6. Melgiri Lingappa temple at the peak of Jamkhandi Hill.
